"Every Derby Night, Your Worst Nightmare". That was a banner lifted by Madridistas years ago, and last night was no different for Simeone's Atletico Madrid. Real Madrid dominated the derby, just as the banner said.
Real Madrid had a slow start in the first half, but they took control of the game in the second half with the desire needed to win. Rodrygo's magical moment and goal set the tone, and after that, it was clear that Real Madrid was in charge. Benzema scored the second and Vinicius wrapped it up with another Brazilian solo run golazo.

What did we like?
Third Consecutive win
After the tough loss against Barcelona, Real Madrid clinched their third big win after Villarreal and Athletico Bilbao, last night's derby victory will give this team a much needed extra confidence boost to carry on.
Brazilian wonderkids are no longer kids
Rodrygo and Vinicius were key players in Real Madrid's attack, and they have now scored 3 goals in their last 2 derby games, good news for Madridistas, bad news for Atletico Madrid who will have to live with this menace for years to come.
Camavinga proved his worth
14 ball retrievals, 12/14 duels won, 3 tackles, 2 clearances, 2 interceptions. This stat line doesn't even picture enough how Camavinga dominated last night. Whether a midfielder or left-back, getting past Camavinga was mission impossible for Atletico Madrid. This player is for real and should start getting more and more minutes.

What's next?
Real Madrid's next matches will be against tough opponents Real Sociedad and Valencia, it will be extremely important to continue this winning streak before heading out for the FIFA Club World Cup, but for now, we'll enjoy this derby win and only think about Rodrygo's exceptional solo run golazo.
